We’re proud to be embarking on the exciting transformation of Lorient’s Bois du Château district with our partners SEEMO Promoteur Nouvelle Génération & SECIB IMMOBILIER!
Our proposal for the future of blocks C5 and C7 of the Bois du Château district – the fruit of joint work with the Atelier Arcau agency and landscape designer Etienne Fouque, and in conjunction with local residents and associations from the City of Lorient and Lorient Agglomération – has been selected by the jury.
EGA’s work focuses more specifically on lot C7, which will accommodate family housing in the emergence facing the park, a young workers’ residence, a crèche and a community center, for which we are working to provide high-quality, flexible and comfortable spaces.

“Honorable Mention“ for our project for the accumulator tank in Gothenburg!
[DESIGN COMPETITION]
In collaboration with the City of Gothenburg and Sveriges Arkitekter, Göteborg Energi AB organized a general project competition for the design of an accumulatortank for district cooling and associated technical building.
The competition task was to come up with a design proposal for the accumulator tank that is functional, adaptable and well designed in line with Göteborg Energi’s and the City of Gothenburg’s goals and visions.
EGA project has been distinguished by the jury of the competition with Honorable mention among 80 approved proposals submitted
“For its empathetically composed design that shows an understanding of the site and how the relief depth, pattern and texture work together to create an holistic effect that works well in all scales of the city.”
Göteborg Energi plans to build a new accumulator tank on a property in Gullbergsvass, centrally located in Gothenburg. There were previously two gas bells on the site, the last of which was dismantled in 2017. The new tank will be highly visible in the city and affect its surroundings. In the relatively near future, the area will be transformed and developed into a denser city.
The tank includes a technology house, which was also included in the competition task.
An accumulator tank is a large and eye-catching volume with a building height of around 65 meters and a diameter of around 28 meters.

Erik Giudice talks at Business Arena West 2023
Erik Giudice is to talk at Business Arena West on November 7th 2023.
As Paris prepares for the 2024 Olympics, the city is thinking long-term, not least in terms of climate sustainability. An office building that houses athletes during the Olympics will then be converted into offices in a circular process that reuses bathroom modules and interior walls. The new district being built will be completely car-free, have generous public spaces, mixed housing types, varied housing prices, local energy production, a minimised carbon footprint and a focus on timber construction.
Don’t miss the presentation at 13:40-14:00 on Samhällsbyggnadsscenen (room F3), at Business Arena West if you’re in Gothenburg this tuesday.
